Dr. Simon has been providing wound care services with United Medical Centers since 2024, where he focuses on the evaluation and management of chronic, non-healing wounds for skilled nursing facility patients throughout Southern California.
Dr. Simon delivers comprehensive wound assessments and evidence-based treatment recommendations for conditions including pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, vascular wounds, post-surgical complications, and trauma-related wounds. His clinical approach emphasizes limb preservation, functional recovery, and close collaboration with nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, and referring providers to optimize healing outcomes.
In addition to his work with United Medical Centers, Dr. Simon has extensive experience serving skilled nursing facilities across the Inland Empire, providing consistent, longitudinal wound care and medical oversight. His background includes surgical assisting at a tertiary care hospital, rehabilitation medicine experience, and podiatry-focused wound care—giving him a broad, systems-based understanding of wound healing across care environments.
Dr. Simon earned his Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He has participated in clinical research and is a published co-author in orthopedic biomechanics research presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Known for his detail-oriented and patient-centered approach, Dr. Simon is committed to improving healing outcomes and quality of life for skilled nursing patients. He is fluent in English and Spanish and remains dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate wound care.
